Lets see, in some kind of order here....

are you launching from a slope?
If so, many ways to launch--all easy!
We even put them on top of a foot, and "kick" them up!

You can thermal just about anything in the right kind of lift--so, yes they CAN thermal...kind of depends on YOUR skill(although if a pure thermal ship is what you are looking for, there are better ways to go).

Flight time also depends...there is no "average".
If you are at a slope with the wind blowing, you can stay up till the batteries run down.
If you are talking an electric motor version...depends on how big a battery pack you have!

I know I use the word "Depends" a lot(and I don't mean the adult diapers!!! ), but to an extent, it all really does "depend" on what you are doing.
Just get one and go have fun!
