Yes they are easy to build. They all are constructed pretty much the same. Can you apply 2" wide packing tape to a surface? That's about the only skill required. Add packing tape the the foam cores, install the servos and stuff into the foam and hook up the ailerons. Should take about 10 hours.

Hey reemas,
TFLG is absolutely right--just work on a nice, flat, surface--and follow the directions.
They really are simple to assemble, and are a blast to fly!
Good luck,
Pud

are you launching from a slope?
If so, many ways to launch--all easy!
We even put them on top of a foot, and "kick" them up!
You can thermal just about anything in the right kind of lift--so, yes they CAN thermal...kind of depends on YOUR skill(although if a pure thermal ship is what you are looking for, there are better ways to go).
Flight time also depends...there is no "average".
If you are at a slope with the wind blowing, you can stay up till the batteries run down.
If you are talking an electric motor version...depends on how big a battery pack you have!
I know I use the word "Depends" a lot(and I don't mean the adult diapers!!!
), but to an extent, it all really does "depend" on what you are doing.Just get one and go have fun!

From: city, CA,
hey thanks for the reply!!!
sorry about flying i meant on flat land. does it even launch with a high start? does it have a towhook?
and my thermal questions were for land flying, not slope, although ill be looking into slope flying now that i read your post. thanks.

It flat land thermals too, have even hand-launched it into thermal flight,...but as I said before, if a thermal type plane is what you REALLY want, there are better choices.
I guess what I am trying to say is this...are the 'flying wing' type gliders high performance thermaling machines?..NO!
CAN they thermal..YES!
Are they fun and challenging?...YES!
Will they do what YOU want?..I don't know....it DEPENDS!!
If you want a hi-starting thermal machine, I believe you need something else, (just ask here, you will get LOTS of opinions!).
But..try a wing anyway, never know, you may get hooked!

If your going to fly off a high start and on flat ground buy something else. Flying wings make horrible thermal ships. If you are a very good pilot you "might" be able to keep a EPP wing up on a good day. When looking for a Thermal plane think BIG! The larger planes are easier to launch, land and thermal. EPP wings are designed for slope use not thermal flying. There are lots of ARF themal planes. Unfortunatley none are the same price as a Zagi (but you get more than 2 pieces of foam and a few misc bits too).

reemas,
I agree with the others that a Zagi is not a thermal ship. If you're going to fly off a high start on flat land and you're THAT bad at building you have a couple of options:
- If you want the resiliancy of EPP, Dave's Aircraft Works has the I-26 2m and the TG-3 trainer. Both are foamies, easy to build, and both will thermal. I've got a TG-3 and it's a lot of fun and VERY tough.
-If you really want to learn how to thermal, try an ARF 2-meter or larger sailplane. Tower Hobbies carries both the Gentle Lady and the Great Planes Spectra in 2-meter size ARFs and the Bird of Time ARF if you want something bigger. Don't get spooked by the balsa construction. Sailplanes are forgiving and if you get an instructor, you'll be much less prone to wreck it. Have fun and happy landings!
