I agree with the others that a Zagi is not a thermal ship. If you're going to fly off a high start on flat land and you're THAT bad at building you have a couple of options:
- If you want the resiliancy of EPP, Dave's Aircraft Works has the I-26 2m and the TG-3 trainer. Both are foamies, easy to build, and both will thermal. I've got a TG-3 and it's a lot of fun and VERY tough.
-If you really want to learn how to thermal, try an ARF 2-meter or larger sailplane. Tower Hobbies carries both the Gentle Lady and the Great Planes Spectra in 2-meter size ARFs and the Bird of Time ARF if you want something bigger. Don't get spooked by the balsa construction. Sailplanes are forgiving and if you get an instructor, you'll be much less prone to wreck it. Have fun and happy landings!
