You'll do OK with a HL tank. Phil will advise on the proper stuff. There are no M-3 or M-5A1 Stuarts in 1;16 scale, but a huge 1;6 scale is available which can me made into a pretty authentic looking tank. Ebay has them now and then, but look on line for 1;6 scale Stuart tank. There uis a website dedicated to them; M-5stuartrctankbattalion.com. The 1;72 and HO scale tanks are available at most hobby shops and a lot of guys like to work at that tiny scale. 1;16 scale tanks a nice to work with and open to a lot of detailing.
