Trim off the "ear" on the leads for your servos and battery holder and such, first thing.
Can't find a good picture, but if you compare your servo's plug to the receiver it should become clear.

After that, plug your steering servo into Channel 1 and throttle to channel 2 and your failsafe accordingly.
