Off on a Tangent: I had to cutt one of the elevator on my Seagull Decathlon. it's the CA hinge. what is the best way to re-hinge it? I was thinking of using a dremel rotary cut off saw and saw out the old CA hinge. Maybe start it with the Rotary saw and finish it with the Multi-tool. I don't have one of those hinge slot machine and I'm not sure how powerful they are to cut into old CA hinges. I did a test on a piece of balsa wood. the cut is just as big or maybe a hair thicker then the CA hinge. Its not a snug fit like when I first installed it but slides easily in. I added CA to the hinge and it Holds but not sure how strong. You guys think this is ok or you have any better ideas?
Put new hinges where the old ones aren't. Hinges can go anywhere along the hinge line. They're very easy to install new, so place new ones in unused hinge line into "new" wood.
