Default RE: Simulators and the lack of realistic sound

Someone in a thread about the Revolver in the ARF forum recently trashed RF for the way that model flies in the RealFlight sim. That was worth a look and I had noticed that all they offer was the 40size Revolver and it's electric. The sound actually wasn't bad and it flew in the sim pretty decently.

There were 4 or 5 downloadable Revolvers over at KnifeEdge, and every one of them sucked one way or another in their flying. But the RF version did pretty good. I get to fly a 60 Revolver every so often and have had 2 flights on the smaller one. The RF version certainly was decent.

Since making the comparison, I've deleted all the downloadable ones. Heck, one of them wouldn't even start to take off, just nosed over when you gave it any throttle at all. I've deleted all of 'em but been left with the desire to have the 60 Revolver with a glow engine on it.

So........... just now, it dawned on me, because of this thread, I ought to see what sounds are now available for the little electric, and just how good/bad they are................
