Opto kill switches are always a good idea for safety. There's an even better alternative in the form of the Tech-Aero Ultra IBECthat is very lightweight (0.6 oz), has an opto kill switch capability built in and also eliminates the need for a separate ignition battery and switch. The weight savings are considerable.
