If you read the original question "...Are air and ground 2.4 the same... " the answer is both no and yes, as pointed out above in several posts. And, as I pointed out, the most obvious is their appearance and usage. I would presume that you could use an air transmitter with ground equipment, but not vice versa.

And, as this is the "Beginners Forum", I would have to presume it as being asked as a beginners question, possibly because the OP has a ground transmitter in 2.4GHz that he/she may have used with a car and would like to try it on a plane... or again, vice versa. Not that what was posted as answers is not good.. quite the contrary. But technical answers to a basic questions often confuse the matter at hand.
