Default Y-Cable, longer or shorter?

I am setting up my electronics (finally) on my A-4 build and need to reverse Y-cable connect two pairs of servos (flaps and elevator)to my Smartfly Expander Pro. I am doing this because one servo goes up and the other goesdown when two servos are plugged into the same port on the Smartfly. From a reliability aspect, does it make a difference to have the Y-connector shorter ora longer distance from the Smartfly? That is, should I use a short Y-cable with long servo leads or long Y-cable with short servo leads? The servos are a good 40" from the receiver. I'd much prefer to use mixing with individual channels, but am maxed out on channels with my DX7. This may be a non-issue, but I want to be sure I'm not negating the benefits the Smartfly offers. Also, any other recommendations are always appreciated.

Thanks!
