RE: DON MUDDIMAN FLYING MACHINE SHORT KIT BUILD
The cold weather begrudgingly took a break today. Finally up to the minimum 55 to 60 degrees that us Floridians can stand but windy. The plane has been finished for about a week and I was anxious to get her airborne. All I can say after three flights is WOW!!! The OS 55AX will get the plane going so fast that two to four seconds at full throttle was the longest I could stand. Whether left to right or straight up, she was gone. Thank goodness for the flourescent pink and yellow colors. Ground tracking on takeoff and landings were a piece of cake. A couple of other bits of info: Prop is an APC 11X6, fuel is Omega 15% and static RPM is right at 13,000 on a new engine.
