I am new to RC myself (not to hijack your thread) BUT I found out the hard way that electric was not my thing. I started very excitedly and came into the hobby BEFORE i joined an AMA sanctioned club; as a result, I bought a couple of electric (EPP foam) planes that I can't use on a daily basis unless the wind conditions are right.

The plane that you are referring to is a fine speciment, but please keep in mind that at some point you may have to make a choice to go either glow/gas/electric or combo of those decisions.

There is no wrong or right path, its just the path you decide to take. Just make sure that you don't spend too much money before you decide what is your own individual path.

When I started (2 months ago) I bought the Cessna 182 RTF from ParkFlyers (http://www.parkflyers.com/Cessna_Pro...ne_p/4303d.htm) and enjoyed every minute of it for 2 weeks.

My friend who started at the same time with me went with the Cub RTF and for one reason or another we could not get it to fly right. It looked to me a bit underpowered compared to my Cessna. It may be my imagination, so please don't take my word for it.

Whatever you decide to do, you will be very happy with ANY plane ... I am sorry if I went off subject ... Just trying to share some of my experiences.
