Default RE: Shortening plug wire

ORIGINAL: jedijody

The only right way to shorten the wire is with a new plug cap kit. There is a steel clamp that holds the two halves of the cap together, clamps the shielding to the cap, and prevents the wire from being able to be pulled out of the cap. Also, the tabs on the cap many times will break off when trying to be reused.

Spoken like a true salesman,
I got a little busy so I had my 5 year old do it for me. Just kidding, I truely do apreciate the help but I didn't see the need for the kit unless you can't come up with the correct crimp. All you really need is the correct crimp and shrink wrap. Im sure after a few times the tabs may break if your not carfull.

Thanks Again
