Plasticard is available in the UK from model shops in sheets of varying thicknesses and colours. The material is styrene and can be cut and formed as you wish. I use medium and thick cyanoacrylate (superglue) and epoxy resin to stick parts together. If you search on the forum, you will see many people have done this pantiger conversion and that will give you more information. Good luck with it.
