RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)
I agree that gas engines generally produce less power than nitro engines. Judging from the prop that the JBA 15G pulls (14x7), this is the equivilant to what my OS 91 FS pulls which is the rough equivilent to a 60 size two-stroke nitro engine in power. I also believe that this engine is a bit heavier than a 60 size nitro engine but will be able to use a smaller fuel tank to help off-set the weight increase. IMHO the JBA 15G engine was developed for 60 size aircraft and therefore should be acceptable for use in any aircraft designed for 60 size engines. Maybe the mfg can offer his opinion on this subject. He has made some contributions earlier in this thread.
