Default RE: New .90 gas engine (15cc)

Ok, this is what I was thinking....

I originally thought the 15G might be a little too much but then i started reading this thread from the beginning and see that a lot of people were putting them in .46 sized airframes. Actually a few pages back a host of people were saying that this motor would be a perfect match in the Aeroworks .46 - .61 Edge 540T ARF. If you compare the specs of the AW to that of the Staudacher they are almost the same except for the weight of the airframe.

540t vs. Staudacher
Wingspan 60" vs 60"
Wing Area 693 vs 690
Length 55" vs 48.5"
Weight 5.5 to 6.0 lbs vs. 7.5 lbs

The Staudacher is an older design and built like a brick which explains the heavier weight but it is also not meant to be a 3D performer like the Edge. It's realm is sport flying and an old fashioned IMAC routine which is the type of performance i desire.
After my original post I've talked to a couple modelers who've built and flown the staudacher and they both had .61 two-strokes in the nose. They didn't think the extra weight would be a problem because they both had to add quite a bit of lead in the nose to make her balance.
I'm going to mull it over a little more and see if any more opinions pop up but I think I may give it a shot. Besides, I'm in no hurry because it'll be a little while before its flying season again up here in Vermont[&o]
Thanks
Mike
