As I work more on mine, I realize it was probably flown at one time and someone decided to remove the covering and do it over. How about this...the cowl is silver and there were traces of yellow film. I would be willing to bet it was the same color scheme of yellow and silver. Why anyone would cover an old time plane with film and not fabric is beyond my way of thinking.

I'm covering mine with Coverite fabric and will paint it to look like the photo attached.
