There are 2 bearings down there - One above the other. One is for the outer shaft. It is above the gear of the outer shaft. The other bearing is in the cup of the outer shaft - It is for the inner shaft. You say that you can move the gears around - It sounds like you lost the inner shaft bearing, and then replaced it with the outer shaft bearing that was above it. Since the outer shaft bearing is no longer in place, the gears move about. You can buy bearings. While you are shopping for the bearings, be sure to get a step washer - item 44 in the CX2 parts list, EFLH1225. It goes in between the top of the outer shaft gear and the outer shaft bearing above that gear. The ridged side goes up.

Actually, the inner and outer shaft bearings are 2 different sizes, so they are not interchangeable. The first bearing you lost was in the cup in the old outer shaft. Inner bearings are 2 x 3 mm EFLH1121. Outer bearings are 4 x 8 x 3 mm EFLH1215.
