Can you provide more details? Is this an aftermarket inner shaft? Where did you get it from? If it is an extended Inner shaft, then there must also be an outer shaft to match?

Boomtownhobbies are great. You could contact them if you have trouble. You probably got [link=http://www.boomtownhobbies.com/Xtreme_extended_upper_head_w_inner_shaft_p/bcx020.htm]this part.[/link]. If so, refer to your CX2 manual for actual inner shaft replacement. Follow the same procedure. Review [link=http://www.rbgrn.net/content/18-how-to-replace-blade-cx2-inner-shaft]this article[/link] on how to replace your inner shaft.

i know. but whenever i put the inner shaft in it seems to move around at the bottom were the gear is like theres nothing there holding it in place. i think its the bearing is missing or not in the right place i think its in the middle of the frame or something.<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!Session data></input><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden"/><div id="refHTML"></div>

I used to have a CX2, but don't have one anymore. I looked at the manual, and there should be a bearing at the top of the frame and one at the bottom where the inner shaft exits (part EFLH1215). At the base of the gears, you should have an retaining collar (part EFLH1214). See page 26 of the [link=http://www.horizonhobby.com/ProdInfo/Files/Blade_CX2_Manual.pdf]manual[/link].

You mint have to push it back out, probably the bottom one that was forced upwards when you removed the inner shaft. Did you have trouble removing the old one?

The lower bearing for the inner shaft resides in a cup at the bottom of the outer shaft - right in the center of the outer shaft plastic gear. It sounds like that bearing is missing from your outer shaft. Is this a new outer shaft? New ones do not come with the inner shaft gear installed.

There are 2 bearings down there - One above the other. One is for the outer shaft. It is above the gear of the outer shaft. The other bearing is in the cup of the outer shaft - It is for the inner shaft. You say that you can move the gears around - It sounds like you lost the inner shaft bearing, and then replaced it with the outer shaft bearing that was above it. Since the outer shaft bearing is no longer in place, the gears move about. You can buy bearings. While you are shopping for the bearings, be sure to get a step washer - item 44 in the CX2 parts list, EFLH1225. It goes in between the top of the outer shaft gear and the outer shaft bearing above that gear. The ridged side goes up.
Actually, the inner and outer shaft bearings are 2 different sizes, so they are not interchangeable. The first bearing you lost was in the cup in the old outer shaft. Inner bearings are 2 x 3 mm EFLH1121. Outer bearings are 4 x 8 x 3 mm EFLH1215.

Attached is a pdf file containing the CX2 parts drawing and parts list. The ridged washer is in the hardware kit, EFLH1225. Batteries eventually die with use, but store fairly well at less than full charge. If you purchased stronger motors, you will find that they perform better with a battery capable of 20C discharge rate.
