Default RE: Simulators and the lack of realistic sound

The "rolling sound" you are talking about is due to doppler shift as the plane spins.

Realflight does model doppler effects, and is particularly good with flybys.

Reflected sounds are even heard from your rear speakers on a 5.1 setup.

However doppler is not present/modeled when rolling a plane.... adding that is a pretty good suggestion.

Did you try posting that in their support forums? The Developers do listen to user requests there.

Many user requested changes have appeared in the sim in short order.

e.g. we asked for a realistic stopwatch timer in 5.x and received it with one of the patches...

If you don't want to ask for that change, let me know so I can suggest it.
