No one said anything about it being fair. And now looking back on it I would have went with an RC4WD setup that was twice as much.
But then again, there isn't any RC I have owned that had less than $1000 in them before I sold them or still have em.
Building them up is the point of buying hobby grade RC. If I wanted my money's worth, I would get toy grade junk.
Yeah I said that. Because none of you can really justify spending as much as any of us do in these hobbies. Money is never a place to gripe here.
oh dont get me wrong here, some people dont have the cash to spend on a monster truck or what ever RC they get, but they do want to get in to the hobby, i have well over $1000 in to my Savage X, but there are people that cant spend on hop ups and they still have as much fun as us guys that spend alot on them and have the money to spend. Also i dont see any type of RC to be a toy, to me if u spend less then $100 on a new RC then its a toy, but to buy a 500 + RC thats more like a RC hobby to me, cuz some people out there can buy ac Realcar with that kind of money.
Once i was in my hobby shop and this guy was like "Holy crap $1400 for this truck" I looked at him and laughed and said dude if ur going to say that just leave or dont say it out loud cuz some poeple get offended by u saying that, then we laughed it off.
So dont think every one out there that wants to bein this hobby has money to spend left and right on hopups or RCS
