Speaking of the air valve , I did have to prevent the valve from going all the way to one end, because if it did, when the opposite operation was commanded all of the air would leak out with no action. I put an adjustable screw on the strut as a stop in the up position. It now locks in the down position, but not in the up, which is ok with me.
