Yup you gotta do that before powerup on most esc's

Yeah the motor is hooked up... I think the problem is that I was not holding down the throttle, which I notice it says in the instructions that to enter programming mode, you have to be holding down the throttle... So I'm going to give that a shot tomorrow and hopefully that works...
