Default RE: Official XTM X-Cellerator thread!!

Ok, 2 things, first the glow plug has to kind of warn up a bit I think before it will work properly and and this may depend on what plug your using. When cold I keep my glow plug starter battery hooked up for a minute after the truck is started until it warms up a bit. There is a video on Youtube the explains proper starting procedure for starting you truck so I suggest you follow that as it helped me and now I start my truck with ease.

As far as the idle adjust is concerned the owners manual for the truck states: The low speed needle valve is preset from the factory but minor adjustments may be needed to suit your application. Fuel used, glow plug and environment all contribute to the setting. To reset the low speed needle valve to the factory setting open the carburetor barrel completely and while holding the barrel open with your figure use a flat blade screwdriver to turn the idle mixture needle clockwise until it stops. From this point, turn the needle counterclockwise 5 turns. This is the factory default.

The idle needle adjust is the screw in the center of the throttle lever on the carburetor. You may also need to adjust the idle rpm screw which is a little screw located right next to the throttle lever.

I highly recommend you check out the Youtube vid on starting an x-cellerator if you haven't already.
