Jason, if you had to have a 3rd class Radio License to open it up, then there are a lot of folks in trouble for taking the back cover off to tighten the gimbles.

Hircflyer: what are you wanting to do on the inside anyway?

Well' I have several old non computer type JR FM transmitters which are just hanging on my shop wall. I don't use them any more as I have 2 JR 9303 transmitters. Hobby king sells a 2.4 kit to install on those old type transmitters. I thought for about 15 dollars it be worth a try to upgrade these old transmitters. Figured it be good for a small park fliers. I have several grandsons who could put them to good use

Only has 3 connections to be made...one to the transmitter battery lead, second to ppm output, third to ground....

I can find the power and the ground but having trouble locating the ppm output

I believe it would be the lead to the ant.
