actually it isnt bamboo but it looks enough like it so i figured what the heck, might as well use it. im not really sure what the material is, its made out of a old set of blind that i had sitting around that the hardware broke on. i figured it would work perfect for what i wanted to make. the grass on the roof is some hay type of stuff i seen at walmart in the crafts section. it was 2 bucks for a big bag of it. the hut itself took the most time to make, roughly 9 hours alone on just the huts walls and floor, and railing. the roofs hay was probably the hardest part of it i would say only because it wasnt easy to work with. i ended up just laying it out flat and as even as i could get it on the table and then hot glueing lines across it to hold it into wide strips. i then just glued them on and trimmed the edges. im happy with how it looks sofar. probably another day before i have it and the tower finished and detailed with what i have to work with. any thoughts on having a machine gun mounted in the tower?
