You are correct that I'm a bit apprehensive to try the more hotter type plugs like the A3 or 7. These plugs are cheaper but if I have to run the engine more rich to compensate than I'm just wasting fuel and at 20 bucks a gallon I'm not really saving anything.

thanks for the heads up. I'll try the LC4 plug. How come it is only marketed as an RC car engine plug and not for planes??
