OS have a policy that may sometimes be difficult to explain, or to comprehend...
One one hand; with plugs intended for plane engines, they have given up on offering long-reach (for larger engines) and short-reach (for smaller engines) glow-plugs; and instead offer only medium-reach plugs.
...A 'one size fits all' policy... Probably to cut production costs for two lengths...
On the other hand, they offer long-reach plugs for cars, which work perfectly in plane engines also...
I tried the LC4 and also recommended it to others in a local Israeli forum; and after trying it, they can't thank me enough!
Ignition simply is just that, whether the engine is installed in a car, or in a plane.
A glow-plug that works in a car engine, will ignite the mixture just as well in a plane, or in a boat... Providing it is of the correct heat range and reach for the engine.
Maybe Bill Baxter (Bax) will care to comment on this.
