heavier clunk...or a weight.....or smaller diameter tube......what ever you do make sure the tube moves freely...make sure that the clunk isn't getting stuck on the back of the tank.
Adding a piece of brass tubing in the middle of the clunk line will ensure that it can't get stuck in the front of the tank.

You just solved a problem I have had for 2 years on my Tiger 2...Every now and again after a long dive it tries to run lean when I level. The clunk was sticking. I got used to pulling about 10 G's at the bottom of a dive to ensure it pops back to the rear of the tank again.
