VS Tank fashion the wheels and suspension this way so as to make them neutral steer easier. With all wheels on the ground there is more resistance and load on the gears. The easiest and most realistic way I've found to deal with this is to just soften the suspension springs on all but the first and last road wheels. This way you get great looking realistic suspension movement while the tank sits at the correct height with all wheels touching the ground.
