I've been just wandering recently, that there are increasing number of
fellow jet fliers quitting this hobby, and selling all their stuff. Any ideas
as to why is this happening? Or is the uncertainty of what's going on
with the FAA?

I've been in this hobby since the 1970's. I have observed the hobby ebb and flow, grow and retract several times. It just does that. You can't really blame the economy either. Often a bad economy actually brings people to RC.
For most people the hobby is a passing phase in thier life. It often last about 5 years. The Jet guys are a little different. What do they fly next ? What comes after flying Jets? If Jets don't get you off then the chances are some giant Extra, that flies like a Cub, isn't going to do much for you either. Face it. You are done. It is time for Sky Diving.
