If your really wanting to get into RC sell all of this stuff on RCU. A lot of guys will still buy this older stuff. Once sold use those funds for a nice used or new 40 size trainer. You will spend more time troubleshooting and mixing and matching your current stuff with little success.
Been there done that, lol. Get a nice used glow or electric trainer and have someone help you fly for the first month or two and you will be solo by summer.
