That is Ok, you can still tune engine to a proper throttle responce with out any performance mufflers(BTW engine with performance muffler is even more sensitive to carburator adjastments then a stock muffler), it is usually covered in an engine manual, in every major brand sold in USA. If your engine throttle responcestutter, then it simply means that the engineneeds an adjustment, that is all.
