Hi,
You know, as much as some of us have jabbed the OP for this thread, it seems to have worked. If this was a preemptive move to stop the owner from making a stink on RCU, then bravo to FEJ. Sometimes bomb squads just detonate the device instead of trying to render it safe, right? We haven't heard from the plane's owner, and there hasn't been any substantiation of how this was FEJ's fault. Maybe they're crazy like a fox.....
This would suggest a conspiracy since two people have independently asserted that they saw one of the stabs part company in the air. The picture of the pivot rod fixing does'nt look very healthy. But yes, this is a curious thread, with lots of opinions. Regarding the pilot, some people just do not like posting. A while ago a new Comp arf Flash lost its stab on the maiden flight at a jet meet here in the UK and the owner was forced into eventually posting despite the fact that he had already contacted the manufacturer. I am sure the very public failure did have some influence on the outcome. I wonder if there will ever be a resolution?? Ron
