Both are good engines. The DA 170 turns more RPM than the DA 150 but doesn't really come into it's own until it's equipped with pipes. The DLE seems to make better power without pipes than a DA does.

Those having problems with either type are the same people that would have a problem with any engine. Meaning both engines are pretty fool proof but some people fail to follow simple directions or fail to tune their engines.
