Giles versus others in 3D
Different manufacturers fudge so many variables on Giles, Extras, Edges, Caps, Sukhois, Yaks...., that they can make them fly any way they want.
Just pick a plane that looks good to you, look at different brands of that plane and talk with owners until you find the right one.
For good 3D look for light wing loadings, big elevators with a smaller fixed stab area, big rudders, big ailerons that extend closer to the fuse for better use of prop wash, longer than scale tail moments for pitch damping with the big elevators and tall fuse for better knife edge flight.
Not all planes will have all of the above but pick whats important to you and look for those features.
