I'm yet to find useful links/information on what I really need so far on this site. Some of the items you've mentioned, I already checked out and are considering them.

My main problems right now is the finances, if I buy the electronics now, it'll be a while to get the radio tx/rx...meaning I won't be able to test out the electronics to see if they even work before warranty expires...opposite is also true for the radio tx/rx.

Can't really win, can I? I can't fork-up $500~$1,000 right now at one time.

May be I can get the elctronics first and have the guy at the local hobby shop test them out???
