Hi Chip,

Besides the better rudder servo resolution you described in post #160 with model with SFG what other benefits do you see using a split rudder arrangement. I would be interested to hear how you use it and where during a flight.

Better servo resolution is what its all about however there are some other advantages. The rudder works much smoother IMO. Instead of the airplanes darting in the way of the rudder correction its more of a smooth yaw. Also on knife edge the tail does not seem to drop like it does with a conventional rudder. These are just my opinouns maybe some other guys will chime in that have just made the switch.
