Have been reading this thread with great interest,by the way sorry Mike I don't post very often either.

Itseems to me modellers can make their own minds up whether they spend £50 on a fod screen or use a tea strainer from the pound shop, but they should not moan about others who want to use the expensive "tasty" equipment on their models.

Car owners spend hundreds on their alloy wheels, doesn't make the car go faster or any better, but it sure makes it look well .

I personally have the experience that if you spend extra on the real good quality item it repays you time and time again, all my jets have certainly the best servos, batteryBackers, retracts, that I can afford,a lot more money admittedly, but they give me peace of mind as well as looking the part.

A modeller Saving a few hundred pounds on a jet or any other model does not bother me as long as the installation is well done and looks safe.

As for the guys who run the specialist model shops for Jet Jockies, thumbs up to them!!

I have been dealing with DW now for quite a while,he says what he thinks, and I like that,

the difference is,

you have a query he can give you the answer ,you can then make your mind up based on his advice,

not just a model shop,he is an advice centre open all hours!!,

and I have never seen a CHARGE FOR THAT!!
