I have a old Tatone engine stand too. I keep meaning to re-mount it to a board for use but haven't done it yet. I had filed out the middle a little to clear a OS 1.20 Surpass years ago. Normally you couldn't bolt up a 1.20 engine to test as the bottom of the crankcase didn't quite clear.
Cox has a nifty little do all engine test stand for Cox 1/2a engines too:

They do have engine test stands for big engines like the gasoline engines too.
