I loaded up the Ford V8 sound set, and used an upgraded speaker. This sounds pretty sweet, and points the way home for me. I have to ensure I build all the sound files to this quality. I will have to go back and work on the 12 cylinder diesel some more. However this shows the hardware is solid and works well with the stock HL electronics.
