You should be fine with Tamiya. There return policy is unheard of in the electronics world. look at auto parts, anything electronic has no warranty what so ever. You do need to be careful that the flash plug is always plugged tightly in, any loose connection there could cause some real problems due to the high voltage on that circuit.
