Default Bad Tamiya MFU

Hi All

Well i was running my Pantherforthe first time and after about 10 mins noticed thatthe flash for the main gun had stopped working.Iopened up the tankto be greeted with a burning smell,i quickly unplugged the units and found the MFU tobe hot to the touchright above the flash plug. The DMDseems to be fine.
I am sure i read here that ifone gets a bad unit then all one has to do is to ship it ofto Tamiya USA and they would replace it.( i have not cut any plugs offor modified it in any way)

Thanks
Martin

You should be fine with Tamiya. There return policy is unheard of in the electronics world. look at auto parts, anything electronic has no warranty what so ever. You do need to be careful that the flash plug is always plugged tightly in, any loose connection there could cause some real problems due to the high voltage on that circuit.

I just had the same problem, not much playing time on mine either, so i explained the problem in a letter along with a copy of my purchase and sent it back to tamiya ,it wasn't over night but they did replaced it.
