Nope no problem.

Most people mount their ignitions on the motor box itself, or on the firewall.

It helps to cover the braided metal outer wire with some of those commerical split "wraps" to prevent it from chafing.

Also try to put foam under the ignition, and then bind it in place, so the foam also helps prevent shock problems.
