Default RE: Transmitter Tray in Pattern

I was a thumbs/neck strap flyer for many years until my buddy (Dave Reaville) convinced me that for pattern it would be easier to fly with a tray. So I switched to finger/thumb and the tray the same season and battled the demons for most of the year but my flying did improve. Where I really notice it is in the point rolls and it stopped me from unnecessary inputs like in slow rolls etc. and have found that there is less hand movement. Now I won't leave home without it and when I do I call the wife to bring it to the field!!! LOL

It really comes down to each pilot and what he or she feels comfortable with but for me it was a positive change.
