you were being paid to testify?...
FWIW, I was a witness in a slipand fall case at a bar/restaurant where Iworked. 2 years after the incident, Iwassupeona'd? as awitness. Iwas paid for my time off work, mileage, and a per diem for hotel and food.Trust me,I certainlydidn't make any money for my testimony. Now I can't be certain, but this may be a fairly standard procedure in civil cases. By not showing up, Iwould be held in contempt (unless Ihad a really good excuse, and work is not one of them allowed by the courts) and subject to those penalties. Other than that, Ihave no interest between the obvious conflict you two have and I'll leave it at that....
As for voting. I'm not voting because Idon't know what the new rules are; don't know what they will end up being after the public comment period is over, nor do I know if the "model" exemption will be tucked in with the FAA reauthorization act.
