There are three basic elements to this thread.

One tohone in on the fact that, for example, a radio controlled jet pilot investment caneasily top $15,000 (and it hasn't even seen fuel yet). Am I to understand that the pilot is going to simply park that lion in the hanger - not fly it - because the speed limit and ceiling were lowered? Yes I surrender, No I think not.

2.)(TWO), As this thread demostrates on pages 1,2,3,4,5 (thread hijackers) come along to discuss elements completely outside the bounds of the OP's posting - and from what I see, that happens a lot throughout thisRCU/AMA forum.

Three.)(3) Beyond that, this section of the RCUforum is a hotbed of paranormal UFOsightings that is constructed primarily from tatter threads of pre-disposed supposition - and whoever barks the loudest and most often, is king of the hill.

Does it matter in the long run, not really.

But think how effective a group - numbering 462,504 - could be if you removed all of the bickering, squabling, SUPPOSITION, vendettas, etc., and uniformly created it's own lobbying group. We're already ALLfollowing rules to some extent. Hopefully we're all acting responsibly and taking our RESPECTIVEHOBBIES seriously and to heart, and re-stocking our hobby by investing in new recruits.

But also consider - if we got together as a unified entity - think of what could be accomplished.

Calling that to your attention is the OP's intent. Pipe dream - for some. But then, so was flying to moon. Only thing is, we actually landed and Mr. Alan Shepard played golf.
