Default RE: busted remote needle valve replacement

If the plane has a lot of fuel in the wood it will need a lot of work before she is ready to fly. Sorry to hear you received something in rough shape.

If it is real bad you may disassemble everything (remove radio equipment and servos) and gently fill the fuse and any other fuel soaked wood with floor dry or kitty litter (unused) and let it sit for a week or so. Another excellent choice to remove oil from the wood is http://www.amazon.com/K2R-SPOT-LIFTE.../dp/B0014E9FNO spray it on let it dry brush it away, and repeat. It will eventually get nearly all of the oil out. If you have a blow dryer around to heat the wood between spray treatments it will remove even more.

It is important that you get as much fuel and oil out of the wood as you can. Check any soaked glue joints for weakening, etc. Check the receiver and make sure it is not full of fuel also.
