De Ja Vu #2 Finally
Hi All
Well number 2 is finally complete and ready to test fly. This one came out several ounces heavier and the only differences is the split rudder option and what I can only describe as the best "QUALITY" finish I have ever seen on a 2m pattern plane! All the equipment is the same except I used BLS servos on wings and with the split rudder 2 additional 9650 servos plus two additional 48" heavey duty Futaba extensions going back to the tail. The wing and stab tubes were also slightly heavier than number 1. Number 2 also came with fiberglass gear legs that were slightly heavier than the carbon fiber legs of #1. All up weight is 10 lb. 15 oz. which is 2.5 oz heavier than #1. This aircraft is the straightest and best aligned aircraft I have received from Chip. As they say "Third time is the Charm" and Chip and CA have done what I believe is about as perfect ARF as one could imagine. I know I about drove him "Crazy" over this aircraft but he really came through on this one!!
I hope to get a test flight sometime this week but the wind has been blowing a constant 20 to 30 kts and is not forcast to be any better until late next week. I will take it to Glenn's contest next week but will fly the Osiris as I won't have any time on #2. This will be my first "split rudder" and Todd Blose said he would check that out for me next weekend.
Enclosed are a few Pic's and they do not do the paint job justice! Again thanks to Chip for a "Great" job!!
