lablover,
I'd go one further than saying glow is ''fine''. I personally recommend all new pattern pilots fly glow, at least through Intermediate, because what's important when you're new is getting in LOTS of stick time. When flying glow, especially a two stroke, you will easily be able to get double the stick time than if you flew electric. This is what I did when I started and I commonly put in 18 minute flights, one after the other. For me this made a huge difference in how quickly I was able to progress.
BTW, the OS 1.40RX is the PERFECT setup for this!
You're in great shape!

+1
I loved the OS 1.40RX, it was a fuel, flip and fly motor. I got probably most of my flight time on this motor.
